Libra The Principle of Giving and Receiving
(1 vote)"Element-Air Quality-Cardinal Symbol-The Scales Sun Sign Dates-September 24 to October 23 Planetary Ruler-Venus Natural Zodiac Affinity-Seventh House Libra wants to create harmony. Libra seeks balance. Libra tries to avoid extremes, but often the seeking of balance calls for extreme measures. This sign has a reputation for being easy-going. That's because they are great diplomats. They can understand the other guys point of view. They usually prefer the path which avoids conflict and this often makes them appear indecisive. Anyone who makes the mistake of thinking they're pushovers will be in for a surprise. You push. Libra pushes back. Balance. Remember? Giving and receiving. What you give is what you get. There are some Librans who will actually create imbalance so they can step in and balance it out again! " |

Libra
"As the sun enters the sign of Libra it returns to the equator, bringing equal day and night to all places on earth. This balancing of light and dark resonates to the symbolism of restoring equilibrium. In ancient times the period was set aside for evaluating the current status of events, estimating forthcoming needs, addressing outstanding problems and calculating a workable plan for the season of hardship that lay ahead. The ancient Egyptians used the scales as a potent symbol of the judgement cast at the end of life, where the soul of the departed was weighed against the Feather of Truth. In Roman mythology the goddess Astraea ruled over justice and law, holding the balance as her means to establish which situations required karmic intervention to restore fairness and equality. " |

Libra Meditation:The Red Wall
"Recently, an artist friend gave me a delightful, whimsical painting that I immediately hung in a place of honor, above the living room fireplace. But the painting’s colors are so rich and exciting that, by contrast, they transformed the pale, yellow walls of my living room from tastefully neutral to washed-out and boring. I liked the colors in the painting much more than the color on my walls, so I decided to adapt the room to fit the painting. I began with the wall behind the fireplace, painting it deep, bright red. The result was gorgeous; it practically glows. And it shows off the painting to perfection… but it made the other drab, yellow walls look even more insipid. So, an adjoining wall got a coat of warm khaki - a dramatic, but pleasing contrast with the red wall." |
