The Capricorn Figure (A Study in Subjective Probability)
" Each new astrological age may be accompanied by a major religious innovation inaugurated by a pair of individuals with opposite signs that match those for that age. [1] For example, at the start of the Aries age the Libra/Aries combination (Abraham/Isaac) saw the birth of Judaism, at the start of the Piscean age the Virgo/Pisces combination (Mary/Christ) saw the birth of Christianity, and, as the theory and evidence go, the Leo/Aquarius age has or will see the extension of these religions. The purpose of this paper will be to make some informed speculation on the Cancer/Capricorn pair whose age begins somewhere in the interval c.3900 to 4400 AD." |

Capricorn
"Capricorns live by the steadying hand of their planetary ruler, Saturn. Those born under this sign are noted for being patient, prudent, determined, reliable and disciplined. Saturn brings a constricting influence and yet Capricorns are characterised by a life-long striving towards accomplishment. The sign is known as the most ambitious of the zodiac, driven to climb, yet constantly checked by the pressure of a planet whose nature is to hold back and restrain. As a life-pattern this can result in many crosses to be borne, and Capricorns who have yet to discover their self-worth often feel rather cheated in the gifts that accompany their lot. The tale of Capricorn is that its natives suffer in youth and profit in maturity and old age. Only with the benefit of hindsight can they fully appreciate the process which leads them towards resilience and achievement. The goat is a creature born to tread the rocky and inhospitable path that leads to the mountain heights." |

Capricorn : The Fortunes of Fame
"I'll be watching this Capricorn New Moon month very closely for a microcosmic preview of the next couple of years of my life. My progressed Moon just entered Capricorn, for only the second time in my life. The first time, I was a Junior in high school. Overweight and unsophisticated, I was more or less invisible on campus until the end of my sophomore year. Then the music director of my school discovered that I could sing, a stealth skill I had nurtured in private for nearly five years. Several months later - indeed, the exact week my progressed Moon entered Capricorn - he installed me in the most elite vocal group on campus and gave me a featured solo. Coincidentally, it was a song I'd been practicing for years, almost as though I knew this moment was coming. When the group eventually performed the song at a school assembly, the entire student body gave my performance a standing ovation. Literally overnight, I became a kind of minor campus celebrity." |

Capricorn The Principle of Responsibility
"Element-Earth Quality-Cardinal Symbol-The Mountain Goat Sun Sign Dates-December 22 to January 20 Planetary Ruler-Saturn Natural Zodiac Affinity-Tenth House Serious Capricorn. Responsible Capricorn. Doesn't sound like any Capricorns you know? They may be the ones who are still learning to integrate this principle into their life. All too often those born under this sign will experience at least one scenario whereby they must take on a heavy responsibility, often, for another person(s). This sign is about taking responsibility-especially without being asked. They have a natural sense of duty. The serious side often develops when the reality of life gets too unyieldingly harsh and they remember too late that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." |
