Mundane and political astrology
Regime Change?
(4 votes)This article takes a look at Dubya's chart as well as several mundane charts and factors in an attempt to ascertain whether he will indeed be a victim of Tehcumseh's Curse. |
Bushgate
(3 votes)After the tumultuous events accompanying the Saturn-Pluto oppositions, it is no wonder that the Saturn-Neptune oppositions will probably be the highlight of 2006. But we must be careful not to forget or underestimate the Jupiter-Saturn squares, particularly because they are interacting with Saturn-Neptune. The Jupiter/Saturn cycle is notorious amongst modern astrologers as the timekeeper of socio-political adjustments (1), conveniently providing historical markers through the convulsive joining of their essentially polarized archetypes.(2) |
Neo-Fascism in the USA
(3 votes)As Saturn moves to opposition with Neptune, I am wondering just how ridiculous the Orwellian justifications of the Bush administration can become. Despite ?irregularities? that would void any third-world election, we are supposed to believe the 2004 election was not fraudulent[i], and the deciding factor for voters was the ?moral values? of a man who used false information to send (so far) more than two thousand of his countrymen to their deaths (not to mention the thousands more who are maimed), squandered a huge national surplus as well as the good-will of virtually the entire free world, and continues to thumb his nose at International Law and the Geneva Convention by holding prisoners indefinitely without trial. |
Avian Flu?
(3 votes)The square of Uranus to the 2000 Jupiter/Saturn conjunction can certainly be correlated with some major upsets, disasters, and terror. The entire planet is in shell-shock, suffering from mass Post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorder. The latest scare out on the horizon is the dreaded Avian Flu. Should we be concerned that our country is way behind on procuring doses of Tamiflu, or is this just a ?sign of the times.? When using Astrology to address this question, I originally looked to the next Jupiter/Saturn conjunction of 2020 as it is joined by a conjunction to Pluto, God of the Underworld. It is widely accepted that ancient astrologers blamed Mars? intrusion on the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction of 1345 for the scourge of the Black Death.[i] So would Pluto?s conjunction therefore signify an even greater pandemic? |
Ingresses: An Introduction to Mundane Astrology
(1 vote)"The word ingress comes from the Latin ingressus, to 'go in' or 'enter'. The chart of the Aries ingress is drawn for the moment that the Sun enters the very first minute of that sign, which is the beginning of a new cycle for the Sun. A general rule in traditional astrology is that if the ascendant of the ingress chart is in a moveable (cardinal) sign the chart remains valid for three months only, and it is necessary to draw further charts for the Sun's entry into Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. If the ascendant is in a common (mutable) sign the chart remains valid for six months, and the Sun's ingress into Libra should be used for the remaining half of the year. If the ascendant is in a fixed sign, however, the chart remains valid for the whole year" |
