"Words often take on quite a remarkable meaning if we probe into their etymological formation. The two words of the title of this article are particularly significant when we relate them to the basic significance of two of the most essential factors in interpreting a birth-chart: the houses and the planets. According to Marc Edmund Jones, the houses refer to the circumstances of our lives; but what does the term circumstance actually and precisely indicate? The Latin adverb circum means "around," and "stance" comes from the verb "to stand." The word circumstance refers, therefore, literally to the way an event, or events in general, stand around you. When you say: "He is in difficult circumstances," you mean that this person is surrounded by events or by the likelihood of events which confront him with difficulties." |

"I would like to give you an example of a trip I took to Greece in order to share the difference between the esoteric dynamics of astrology and the exoteric ones. We were going from Rhodes to Crete. I got to the airport in Rhodes and there were two doors with Greek lettering on them. Although I don't speak Greek, I am familiar with the alphabet. On one door it said Esoteriki and on the other door it said Exoteriki. I said: "Gosh, I must be in the right place...so, which door should I use?" I thought about that and said to myself, Esoteriki means inside and exoteriki means that which is outside. The esoteric dynamics of life are involved with the internal movements of energy or that which is deepest. That must be the mystic's life because it is inside the country. Exoteriki is outside, that which is more easily discernible. So Exoteriki must be international flights. " |

"On July 29 the boundaries of our solar system expanded by seven billion miles, as astronomers announced the discovery of a new planet in orbit around our Sun. The latest in a series of planet-like objects found by astronomers Mike Brown, Chad Trujillo and David Rabinowitz, object 2003 UB313 is unique in that it is the first outer solar system object discovered that is bigger than Pluto.(1) Working from photographs taken with the 48-inch Samuel Oschin telescope at Caltech's Palomar Observatory outside San Diego, the team has discovered several new planetoids. But not since the discovery of Neptune in 1846 has an object this large been found to orbit our Sun" |
