Soul Points in Synastry: The Vertex versus the Nodes (Part One)
Submitted by ciuboda on 9 February, 2011 - 16:45.'It’s assumed that contacts to both the Nodes (particularly the South Node) and the Vertex feel like ‘fate’ is playing a hand. It’s assumed that both the Nodes and the Vertex axis give us those ‘aha’ moments, those rare, often once-in-a-lifetime meetings that stir us with feelings of forever (at first). They cause us to believe that the ‘one and only’ really exists–it must, because we’ve never felt this way before.

The North Node/Pluto conjunction November 2010
Submitted by ciuboda on 29 November, 2010 - 08:10.'The North and South Nodes of the Moon are important parts of the astrological chart, but they are not planets. Rather, they are points in the sky that mark the passage of the Moon across the path of the Sun. I like to think of them as signposts in the sky that point us in the right direction so that we can accomplish our evolutionary journey. The South Node is associated with the past - things and emotions which give us comfort but also hold us back. The North Node is associated with our destiny and helps us to align with our future self.
Mean Nodes Vs. True Nodes
Submitted by ciuboda on 18 November, 2010 - 08:31.'If you are a nerd, welcome to paradise. If you slept through science, but were wide-eyed when English class turned to the Romantic poets, you will probably make a very fine astrologer—but you might want to skip this chapter.
So, what exactly are the nodes of the Moon? Obviously, they are not planets. Since they are the foundation of Evolutionary Astrology and the gateway into karmic analysis, let’s take a little while to understand them rigorously.'
Pluto Conjunct the North Node in Capricorn
Submitted by ciuboda on 10 November, 2010 - 08:20.'Re-birthing Agent Pluto, denoting power and transition, is exactly conjunct the Growth Oriented North Node in Capricorn today. Capricorn is a sign associated with worldly ambition and achievement.
Symbolically, this is an excellent time for us to reflect upon and embrace our own power (Pluto). Also, to perhaps review how we have wielded our power in the past to attain the things that we desired. Are we satisfied with how we have used our power, to date? Or, do we maybe need to “retool” (Pluto) how we “leverage our power” in the future?'
