Chiron
Chiron by House
Submitted by AstroFix on 11 March, 2010 - 20:18.Eventually, after trying in vain to heal himself, Chiron takes his own advice- he gives up. Even after entering into his own counsel to find the answer, and gaining even more knowledge and insight into healing therapies, and discovering medicine, he never cures himself. Searching for a solution never delivers the solution. He never finds the potion, lotion, energy therapy, flotation tank, raw food diet, flower essence, homeopathic remedy, or yoga pose that delivers the cure.
Chiron and His Wound: They are One and the Same

Chiron the Astrologer and the Aquarius New Moon
Submitted by Jamie Funk on 18 February, 2010 - 02:34.The new moon a couple of days ago at 25 degrees Aquarius has activated a part of the sky which has had a lot of attention in the last 9 months. The triple conjunctions of Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune have all been around this degree, in May, July and December of 2009. The last of these conjunctions is 17 February 2010 with Chiron conjunct Neptune. There have also been retrograde stations of these planets here, and Chiron and Neptune station direct around 25 Aquarius in early Novemeber 2010.
Chiron
Submitted by ciuboda on 20 October, 2009 - 17:02."The Greek story of Chiron is centered on a Centaur who is half man, half beast. He was born from an illicit union between Chronus (Saturn) and sea nymph Philyra. His mother was disgusted by his appearance and abandoned him. Chirom was raised by Sun God Apollo (music, art, and prophecy). Chiron turned into a master healer and taught Asclepius, the father of medicine. One day Chiron was accidentally shot by Hercules with a poisoned arrow. As Chiron was immortal he could not heal from the wound, and lived his days in agony.
Chiron, the Evolutionary Perspective: Chiron’s Planetary Nodes
Submitted by ciuboda on 17 August, 2009 - 16:26."The resources found through the planetary nodes of Chiron pertain to specific and peak emotional memory imprints – those of significant crises points and painful remembrances, mixed with the sourcing of extraordinary healing gifts and potentials advanced through these experiences. The planetary nodes along with their rulers will serve to provide a more complete analysis of Chiron’s chart position as a key prompt for accelerated evolution. The process is one of saturating consciousness with repetitive “feature” or intensified experiences.
The Cycle of Chiron: Accepting the Process of Individuation
Submitted by ciuboda on 26 April, 2009 - 16:48."As Chiron completes its cycle in our horoscope we are able to gather the loose threads of our life together – the aspects of self that feel marginalised and wounded are re-experienced for healing. Chiron represents the process of individuation in an individual life and the key points in its cycle are initiations into its process. This article originally appeared in The Wholistic Astrologer."
Chiron: Healing The Split
Submitted by ciuboda on 12 December, 2008 - 23:17."Astrologically, Chiron is also an anomaly, defying consensus as to its sign rulership (if any). Since the figure in Sagittarius is a Centaur (which some say is Chiron, himself), it is often assumed to rule that sign. Melanie Reinhart (author of Chiron and the Healing Journey, one of the better books available on the subject) presents Chiron as a co-ruler of Sagittarius. However, Sagittarius already has a ruler (Jupiter) and doesn’t appear to require another.
Chiron: the wounded healer
Submitted by ciuboda on 12 December, 2008 - 23:15."This is the glyph for Chiron. Chiron is also known as the “wounded healer,” and is associated with shamanism.
Chiron has an irregular, sort of egg-shaped orbit between Saturn and Uranus. Sometimes Chiron is closer to Saturn, other times closer to Uranus. It’s not known what exactly Chiron is. Astronomers’ best guess is that it’s a remnant of a comet that got trapped in orbit in our solar system. An outsider.
Introduction to Chiron
Submitted by ciuboda on 12 December, 2008 - 23:13."Chiron carries the ultimate truth to a people who must understand what they are taught in order to make any kind of use of the information. Our recent discovery of Chiron seems to me to be a messenger to promote the need to know and understand ourselves individually before we focus attention on others who we might like to blame for our pain."
Expanding Chiron
Submitted by ciuboda on 12 December, 2008 - 23:12."Whenever we think or speak of Chiron, the image of the "wounded healer" invariably comes to mind. In the short space of the twenty-two years since Chiron's discovery on All Saints Day, November 1st, 1977, astrologers have eagerly embraced this particular face of the Chiron archetype. The wound dominates our Chironic landscape, as does the preoccupation with healing that wound. The purpose of this article is to attempt to expand Chiron's territory by penetrating its labyrinthine domain more deeply.
