We know significant change is on the horizon when we see Uranus at the first degree of the zodiac, zero Aries, at a cardinal ingress. The Agent of Change heralds a new beginning, a global awakening, a step out of the past and into new uncharted territory. It is this sign-shift of Uranus, beginning a new 84-year round of the zodiac, that we celebrate this solstice.

'This week’s overarching theme is the movement of Uranus into Aries. There are phenomenal acts of bravery on world stage (1), but I am going to focus in this blog on being true to one aspect of Aries, that is, by keeping it simple and personal.

Richard Tarnas first made the association between the planet Uranus and the Titan, Prometheus, in his book, Prometheus the Awakener (1995). (2)

'Normality is soon to be a thing of the past, and over the next half decade we will be witness to social, technological, political and personal transformations which will result in a world quite different to the one we know today. This could have been said in 1988 - just prior to the Saturn, Uranus and Neptune conjunctions opposite Jupiter, which precipitated the New World Order and fall of communism. It could also have been said of the mid sixties - just prior to the Uranus/Pluto conjunction opposite Saturn, which polarized youth and age and evoked a social revolution.

A look at the arts, culture and entertainment industry as Uranus enters Aries for a 7 year transit - the last time this happened was in the late 1920's with a revolution in the film making business.

"Years ago, back when I forecasted about the coming global crisis I used to get messages from people who said I was making my forecasts up; that the economy was humming along just fine; that I was a "gloom and doomer," and that astrological forecasting was a "pseudo-science" and "nothing but bunk."

People asked why I forecasted such things. It was never going to happen they said. A global economic crisis?
