Triplicity Lords

"The triplicity lords, in medieval and arabic texts, are said to rule over three periods of life: early, middle and late, yet this is not particularly clear from the Hellenistic texts. The triplicity lords are more often used to describe the native’s status in life or referred to as planet’s supporting the life.  I’ve often wondered how these lords were derived and came up with a possible scheme for their assignments. In essence, I believe the participating triplicity lords are derived from cardinal signs, the 1st triplicity lords from fixed signs and the 2nd triplicity lords from mutable signs."
