'I was thinking about a topic for this blog and Neptune and Chiron kept coming into my mind. Although their ongoing conjunction is in orb between 2008 – 2011, they are now both retrograde at 27º Aquarius. Since Chiron was only discovered in 1977, this is the first series of conjunctions we’ve had the opportunity to experience.

In my personal life, the presence of these planets has been strong: These last few days I’ve been contemplating impermanence, as an old family friend is in a coma and near death.'

An eclipse is when one of the main “lights”, the Sun or Moon, are temporarily blotted out from our sight by a very close alignment with the Earth.  This is like a symbolic dark night of the soul,darkcloset whereby some sort of crisis produces a necessary change in the psyche of an individual.  If you’ve ever been thrown into closet, you know the feeling: initial panic followed by dawning re-orientation as your pupils dilate sufficiently.

"Venus symbolizes attraction of all kinds, infatuation, desire, attachment, and emotional needs. Venus has dominion over intimacy and sexual energy and desire in the woman; it also signifies sex appeal, beauty, grace, fashion and being fashionable, socializing and sociability, partnerships and the act of unification (weddings), but not the marriage itself. Venus has dominion over combining and coordinating different things, including parts of the body, countries, companies, ideas, and any two things whatsoever.
