"Being an enthusiastic student of history and having the habit of scrutining ancient chronicles in search of the birth data of historical figures, I am always thrilled when I eventually find such data. This is the case of the Portuguese Duke Dom Pedro, whose birth data can be found in the Chronicle of Fernão Lopes. Dom Pedro was the second son of King João I and Queen Philippa of Lancaster (herself the first child of duke John of Gaunt and Blanche, Duchess of Lancaster). Here is his natal chart, calculated for the 9th December 1392, 01:00 am LAT (Local Apparent Time), Lisbon, Portugal."

    The Sun

       Sun's placement designates the hour, which is the basis for the calculation of the Solar Return (SR) chart. Yet, in that chart the Sun may be weak by sign, house or aspects, involving insignificant issues. This is the reason why I gave priority to the SR Asc (see previous article). Nevertheless, the Sun worths our consideration as follows.

    Solar return (SR) must be interpreted in the same manner as the natal chart. Arranged according to their importance the interpretative elements are: (1) Ascendant (2) MC (3) Sun (4) Planets (5) Several rules.
