" One modern technique that's extremely valuable in Medical Astrology is that of midpoints.   The use of planetary midpoints in astrology was brought to a high level of development and perfection by Reinhold Ebertin and his Cosmobiology school, also known as Uranian Astrology.

"The planetary cycles and transits are keenly followed by astrologers in their search for periods of lowered resistance in the horoscope. The transiting midpoint of planetary pairs is an additional tool, commonly used by cosmobiologists, but often overlooked by traditionalists.

"A midpoint combines the energies of the two planets involved and you would interpret them in the exact way you interpret any two chart factors coming together. According to COSI the principle of these two planets is "A sense and appreciation of beauty, thoughts of love." However it is easy to apply your own interpretation using basic astrological knowledge.

"The only thing synastry can do is indicate some points of attraction and repulsion, areas where the two people can work together or tend to clash, places where the two of you can get along easily or need to work things out. Now this is important, but it won’t tell you if the two people will stay together or even get together. It also won’t tell you how the relationship affects each person individually.
