"When making forecasts for nations and regions, one doesn’t have to restrict oneself to astrology. One also uses one’s on-the-ground observations, plus whatever knowledge one has of politics and economics.
Over the last seven years I’ve spent a lot of time in Poland and Slovakia, and I’ve been trying to work out what’s going on. I’ve read the newspapers, observed how business works and of course set up the relevant horoscopes. The picture is grim, and the same astrological forces that destroyed Communism in the late 1980s will destroy the thin veneer of democracy and freedom that right now holds Eastern Europe together.
Going back twenty years, to the fall of Communism in 1989, one could say that the West, in particular the United States, won a stunning victory. The ‘evil empire’ of the Soviet Union was defeated, and the enslaved people and nations of Eastern Europe were set free."
