Chiron the Astrologer and the Aquarius New Moon

Language:
English

The new moon a couple of days ago at 25 degrees Aquarius has activated a part of the sky which has had a lot of attention in the last 9 months. The triple conjunctions of Jupiter, Chiron and Neptune have all been around this degree, in May, July and December of 2009. The last of these conjunctions is 17 February 2010 with Chiron conjunct Neptune. There have also been retrograde stations of these planets here, and Chiron and Neptune station direct around 25 Aquarius in early Novemeber 2010. Like I just commented on Mary Plumb’s article at The Mountain Astrologer, Aquarius New Moon, “it’s like this point is being rammed home to us by the universe. I get the feeling that whatever this means is extremely important for us and we need to explore it more thoroughly.”

  • New Moon in Aquarius February 2, 2011 Astrology -

' The New Moon on February 2nd at 13 degrees of “liberating” Aquarius (9:31 pm EST) is more powerful than the norm because it conjoins “initiator” Mars, ruler of the aggressive urge. This could propel us into more of a “manic” phase or launch at warp speed. A “do, do, do” mode. Mars represents the physical energy in the body. Remember, too, that expansive Jupiter is in Mars-ruled Aries which can also raise up our activity level and get us wanting to conquer new frontiers. Aries is very pioneering and does not want to be restrained.

'Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak was born May 4, 1928, and has held office since the assassination of President Anwar El-Sadat in October of 1981.

Uranus is prominent in his chart, at 6 degrees of Aries, opposing his Sun. Uranus-Sun individuals are often magnetic, and it is the consummate transit of the born revolutionary.

  • Chiron Cycles and Life’s Purpose -

'Many astrologers consider the Chiron Return a major astrological life cycle. The Chiron Return occurs when Chiron has made a complete orbit around the Sun and goes home to the position it held at an individual’s birth. The Chiron return is one of three major astrological life cycles. The cycles are, ages approximate: the Saturn Return at 30; the Uranus Opposition at 40; and the Chiron Return at 50. Chiron pioneer Barbara Hand Clow gives these three cycles the following key words: physical crisis (Saturn), emotional crisis (Uranus) and consciousness crisis (Chiron).'

This article is about realizing Chiron's influence in traumatic transits (with personal experience and transits relayed from the author).  The article also highlights the Lunar Eclipse trine to Chiron/Neptune on Dec. 21, 2010 and how the Sag/Gemini axis of that lunation cycle highlights the need to recognize and communicate our wounds.

  • Cardinal Cross Lunar Eclipse: December 21 -

'We now enter the final chapters of the cardinal crisis. Four of the five outer planets have transited the solstice and equinoctial points this past summer. It is now time for the lunar nodes to cross these same points. We now begin a period where the World Axis will be forced open, ejecting its inner contents and forcing all the world to become aware of the loss. This is because an eclipse is essentially a rip in the fabric of time.
