With the Sun still squaring Pluto, and now opposite Saturn, and with Uranus about to cross the boundary from Pisces to Aries, we seem to be moving from protracted crisis and forced change to unpredictable and radical developments that are bound to disrupt established order. This Ingress is a very powerful one - emphasising the need for us all to practise speaking the truth about the world by taking on a bold and truthful Arian courage.

Some of you in getting an astrology reading may have been told something about a "house ruler", or perhaps have noticed it elsewhere. Every house is ruled by one of your natal planets, and which planet it is depends on the sign on the house cusp. Each zodiac sign is ruled by a certain planet.

How to read an ephemeris is a crucial part of astrology and predictions; knowing how to do this allows you to see where the transit (moving) planets are in your own chart and what natal planets they're aspecting.

Sometimes astrologers forget when teaching someone new to astrology the absolute basics required to learn. You do them so often, they become second nature, and you forget that you need to learn these things first before you start anything else. This is a totally basic exercise and shows you how to count degrees and therefore helps you find aspects and understand the zodiac wheel. If you're completely new to astrology, it's one of the first things you must learn.

For instance, the Moon will disposit any planet in Cancer. Here, the Moon can enforce the old parental favourite – “if you are under my roof you live by my rules!”
